Skin Care review: Laneige Water Sleeping Pack_EX

So, I'm not sure if you've heard but this is pretty much all the rage for those who are into asian skin care.
This bad boy is a great product, its actually one of my newest additions to my list of Holy Grail products.
My friend Ally told me to try this product out and I completely understand why she was super excited about it. I've been using it for about 5 months now and I'm so glad I started using it, its made a great improvement on my skin. So lets get started with this review!

Now, on the website this is their description of the product:

"Light gel-type texture provides intensive hydration, vitality, and brightening effect while restoring skin with deep relaxation"

Also, its great for all skin types and all you have to do is massage a small amount into your skin after your usual night time skin care routine and sleep. Then in the morning you just wash your face and you'll feel the difference. You'll start to see the difference a few weeks later because, seriously, Rome wasn't built in a day.
You think it would feel heavy on your skin because of the gel-type consistency but your skin will pretty much suck this right up and will thank you for it. Hahaha.

It has a nice soft floral scent. So for those who prefer fragrance-free products, then I'm sorry. The products actually comes with a spatula but ever since I moved back in November, there's still no sign of it so I just use a clean finger. No big deal.

Its really important to massage this product into your skin so that you wake up your skin in a way to allow it to absorb the product properly. Be gentle though, you don't want to over stimulate your skin.

So lets rate this lovely product:

Scent: 5/5 because I totally dig the floral scent

Feel:  4/5 because of the slimy feeling when first putting the product on

Effect:  5/5 since it actually worked for me!

Over-all:  5/5 Totally awesome product and like I said; new addition to my holy grail products!

What I Value

When we frame or value all men or women as being someone’s wife/girlfriend (husband/boyfriend), mother/father or daughter/son, what are we teaching the youth?

We're teaching them that in order to have the law, world, society or anyone on their side, they need to be loved by men or women. That they need to make themselves beautiful or sexy or even desirable to everyone in order to be worthy of protection. That their lives and their bodily integrity are value-less except for how they relate to the people they know. That they need to do these body modifications or slap on a load of makeup or skin care or do these diets for others and not for themselves if they wanted.

Truth is that I am someone’s girlfriend. In the future I will be someone’s mother. I am someone’s daughter, and someone’s sister. Those are not the things that define me, or make me valuable in this world though. Those are not the reasons that I should be able to live a life free from rape, sexual assault or any kind of violent crime.

I have value because I am a person. Full stop. End of argument. This isn’t even a discussion that we should be having.

So please, let’s start teaching that fact to the young women and men in our lives. Teach them that you love, honour and value them because of who they are, not what they do. Teach them that they should expect to be treated with integrity because it’s a basic human right. Teach them that they do not deserve to be raped because no one ever, ever, ever deserves to be raped. But most especially, teach them that they are people too.

Stay sassy,

Mon Chéri Cherry Red

Black jersey top with gold accent: thrifted, patterned skater skirt: Forever21
Boots: Dr. Marten 1460 Classics in Cherry Red

Hey ho my darlings!

Here's something I threw together today to do a little shopping with my love, nothing too special. Luckily the skirt's material is a bit heavy because it was a tad bit windy today. Also it wasn't freezing so I didn't need to put on a jacket! These boots though, man oh man. They were a birthday gift from my boyfriend. I almost cried when I opened up the box to these bad babes. I actually nicknamed them; the right one is Matilda and the left one is Olga.

I usually prefer skirts or a dress over pants any day which is pretty funny because when I was in high school I didn't like to gravitate away from wearing jeans. I was so conscious of my legs but I've learned to love them over time as should anyone. ;) Anyways that's all for now my dears!

As always, stay sassy.

Also here's a super kawaii photo of me.
