Oh lawdy

Forgive me my dears, I've been so busy with life recently and I'm trying my best to blog more often.

I feel like I should update ya'll. So for a start I recently have been employed by Amazon and I'm really excited to start working again and we adopted a kitten as well (his name is Nova).

I have a few new products I'll try to review that I purchased for myself for my 21st birthday back on October 16. I have the Too Faced Chocolate Bar Palette, Lancome waterproof eyeliner and Smashbox Brow Tech To Go. My mother-in-law also took a peek at my Amazon wishlist and bought me a few gifts off of it such as 2 Tony Moly gloss bars, Nature Republic aloe vera gel cream, a totoro apron and a really cute hooded cape that I'm wearing in the picture below.

My husband and I have also recently gotten into LARPing and we've made friends with local LARPers. I've also been active with some animal rescue groups so maybe we might start fostering more furbabies. Also, I found out recently that Target is now carrying Laniege! This changes everything *dancing*. Now I don't have to pay ridiculous shipping for my grail product which I reviewed on this blog previously. You can check that out here.

For Halloween I was a Fawn, its a super quick and easy look if you're in the mood to put on lots of bronzer and eyeliner. Lol. I followed this tutorial by Fresh Blush.

Anyways, I hope all of you are having a lovely November. I will definitely try to keep you all updated.

Moonsy

P.S. Look at this awesome piece of art my bestfriend Eri made for my birthday

Oh gosh, its been forever.

Hello dears, how are all of you? I apologize for my sudden absence but things have been crazy. I'm trying to get affiliated with some companies so I'd actually have stuff to review.

I just got back from the Philippines two weeks ago and it was nice being there after a while. I recently tried out Cure Aqua Gel and holy butts, new holy grail product! *swoons* I also got to try out the Etude house bb cream cushion and pretty much updated my makeup routine. If ya'll would like to see a mini haul sometime I could definitely do that! Just let me know in the comments below. I'm definitely going to do a review on these new nyx brow products I bought recently, they're super perfect for the summer since I sweat a lot (lol, tmi? maybe?).

Another amazing thing that happened while I was away was that I decided to change the location of my church wedding. My husband agreed as well which is great. We're planning on having it in Tagaytay, Philippines. If you're in the Philippines and haven't experienced Tagaytay; you're definitely missing out.

Anyways, its really great to be able to post here again.

Till next post!

Skin Care review: Laneige Water Sleeping Pack_EX

So, I'm not sure if you've heard but this is pretty much all the rage for those who are into asian skin care.
This bad boy is a great product, its actually one of my newest additions to my list of Holy Grail products.
My friend Ally told me to try this product out and I completely understand why she was super excited about it. I've been using it for about 5 months now and I'm so glad I started using it, its made a great improvement on my skin. So lets get started with this review!

Now, on the website this is their description of the product:

"Light gel-type texture provides intensive hydration, vitality, and brightening effect while restoring skin with deep relaxation"

Also, its great for all skin types and all you have to do is massage a small amount into your skin after your usual night time skin care routine and sleep. Then in the morning you just wash your face and you'll feel the difference. You'll start to see the difference a few weeks later because, seriously, Rome wasn't built in a day.
You think it would feel heavy on your skin because of the gel-type consistency but your skin will pretty much suck this right up and will thank you for it. Hahaha.

It has a nice soft floral scent. So for those who prefer fragrance-free products, then I'm sorry. The products actually comes with a spatula but ever since I moved back in November, there's still no sign of it so I just use a clean finger. No big deal.

Its really important to massage this product into your skin so that you wake up your skin in a way to allow it to absorb the product properly. Be gentle though, you don't want to over stimulate your skin.

So lets rate this lovely product:

Scent: 5/5 because I totally dig the floral scent

Feel:  4/5 because of the slimy feeling when first putting the product on

Effect:  5/5 since it actually worked for me!

Over-all:  5/5 Totally awesome product and like I said; new addition to my holy grail products!

Thanks for checking this review out! If you have any questions or would like me to review something leave it in the comments below.

Have a nice day!

What I Value

When we frame or value all men or women as being someone’s wife/girlfriend (husband/boyfriend), mother/father or daughter/son, what are we teaching the youth?

We're teaching them that in order to have the law, world, society or anyone on their side, they need to be loved by men or women. That they need to make themselves beautiful or sexy or even desirable to everyone in order to be worthy of protection. That their lives and their bodily integrity are value-less except for how they relate to the people they know. That they need to do these body modifications or slap on a load of makeup or skin care or do these diets for others and not for themselves if they wanted.

Truth is that I am someone’s girlfriend. In the future I will be someone’s mother. I am someone’s daughter, and someone’s sister. Those are not the things that define me, or make me valuable in this world though. Those are not the reasons that I should be able to live a life free from rape, sexual assault or any kind of violent crime.

I have value because I am a person. Full stop. End of argument. This isn’t even a discussion that we should be having.

So please, let’s start teaching that fact to the young women and men in our lives. Teach them that you love, honour and value them because of who they are, not what they do. Teach them that they should expect to be treated with integrity because it’s a basic human right. Teach them that they do not deserve to be raped because no one ever, ever, ever deserves to be raped. But most especially, teach them that they are people too.

Stay sassy,

Mon Chéri Cherry Red

Black jersey top with gold accent: thrifted, patterned skater skirt: Forever21
Boots: Dr. Marten 1460 Classics in Cherry Red

Hey ho my darlings!

Here's something I threw together today to do a little shopping with my love, nothing too special. Luckily the skirt's material is a bit heavy because it was a tad bit windy today. Also it wasn't freezing so I didn't need to put on a jacket! These boots though, man oh man. They were a birthday gift from my boyfriend. I almost cried when I opened up the box to these bad babes. I actually nicknamed them; the right one is Matilda and the left one is Olga.

I usually prefer skirts or a dress over pants any day which is pretty funny because when I was in high school I didn't like to gravitate away from wearing jeans. I was so conscious of my legs but I've learned to love them over time as should anyone. ;) Anyways that's all for now my dears!

As always, stay sassy.

Also here's a super kawaii photo of me.

Let's ring in the new year with good cheer
and tons of resolutions no one actually keeps!
So, yes. I have finally started my blog and hopefully I update it religiously.
I can't wait to share my ideas, tips, tricks and opinions on things.
I need to warn you guys though, expect me to use a lot of profanity in my posts.... its just how I am.
Okay? K.
Since its the new year, I'm going to make this entry about my reflection on 2013.

2013 was a great year for me despite the fucked up things that came along.
I became super sassy this year also joined the kawaii brothahood \m/ Hahahaha.
I met my boyfriend Anthony at an anime convention's rave in Sacramento, CA.
My eyes finally opened and I realized what I wanted to do with my life, which is to be
an esthetician and/or a voice actress. I traveled to different states besides Nevada which was
amazing! I finally moved out of my mom's place and my boyfriend and I bought a house, adopted
1 puppy and rescued another. I met amazing people as well this year but of course I had to let some go.
I got into a few quarrels with some people which was kind of the reason why I wanted to move out in the first place.

Anyways, I am seriously a VERY blessed girl and I can't wait for the blessings and challenges I'll be receiving this year.
I might post an ootd break down or a "What I Got For Christmas" post. So till then!

Stay sassy,
Moonsy
